How PhysicalTherapyProof Works
Our Principle
We publish only what public government data supports, cited to source, and link out to authoritative registries for anything we cannot verify ourselves. We don't rank, rate, or endorse individual PTs, and we don't sell leads.
Data Sources
NPPES (National Plan and Provider Enumeration System)
Published by CMS as a public bulk file, updated monthly. Contains every US healthcare provider with an NPI: legal name, credentials, taxonomy, practice address, phone, and enumeration date.
State PT Boards
Each state board maintains license status and public disciplinary actions. We link every profile directly to the correct board so you always see the most current, authoritative record. We do not republish disciplinary records ourselves.
What We Publish, and What We Don't
We publish (from NPPES only):
- Provider name, credential (PT or PTA — NPPES does not distinguish DPT/MPT)
- NPI number and taxonomy code
- Practice address and phone number
- NPI enumeration date and years since enrollment
- NPPES-declared specialty when a specialty-specific taxonomy code applies
We do NOT publish, claim, or verify:
- License status or disciplinary history (link to state board instead)
- Clinical years of experience (NPPES only knows the NPI issuance date)
- Practice name for individual NPIs (NPPES does not publish this for individuals)
- Trust scores, quality rankings, or endorsements of any kind
- Medical advice
Corrections and Removal
If you are a physical therapist and want your listing corrected or removed, email support@weblabra.com or use the contact page. We honor takedown requests within 1 week.
NPPES data can lag. If your record is out of date at NPPES itself, updates there flow to our site the next time we refresh.
